Youth Entrepreneurship Project (YEP) – A UN-Habitat Urban Youth Fund Grantee 2012 Project
YWOP/YMOP was awarded the UN-Habitat Urban Youth Fund Grant in 2012 to execute the Youth Entrepreneurship Project (YEP). The main objective of the project is to train fifty (50) youths in Manchester in Entrepreneurship and assist at least ten to start their businesses, through an incubation process providing financing, mentorship and guidance. The project is being executed over a period of nine months and at the end of training, the individuals with the top ten most viable business ideas will receive a grant of US$500 to start their businesses. The training aspect of the project is being conducted by the Jamaica Business Development Commission (JBDC).
